Michelle Yegiyants is an associate attorney at Singh, Singh & Trauben, LLP, where she focuses her practice on music, entertainment, and media law. She represents recording artists, songwriters, producers, managers, and independent labels in a broad range of transactional and dispute-resolution matters across the music industry.
Her practice includes negotiating and drafting recording, publishing, producer, and distribution agreements, as well as sponsorship, merchandising, and event licensing deals. Michelle also advises clients on corporate and commercial transactions, including touring, financing, and new business formation, and counsels on brand protection, name and likeness rights, and intellectual property strategy.
She has worked on catalog sales and rights transfers involving both master and publishing assets, coordinating due diligence and documentation between artists, acquirers, and other stakeholders. Michelle also handles entertainment disputes, including management and touring conflicts, copyright infringement issues, and contractual terminations, and has negotiated multiple settlements and termination agreements on behalf of artists, managers, and labels.
Before joining the firm, Michelle served in the Business and Legal Affairs department at Warner Music Group, advising on rights management, licensing, and catalog acquisitions across a global portfolio. She began her career in the litigation/entertainment transactional group at a mid-sized firm in Los Angeles.
Michelle earned her Juris Doctor with Distinction from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where she graduated in the top 15% of her class and was recognized for excellence in oral advocacy as a national finalist in the Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Davis.
