PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES

Devon Spencer is an associate at Singh, Singh & Trauben, LLP, where he focuses his transactional practice in entertainment, intellectual property and corporate law. Devon works predominantly to negotiate agreements in the music and digital media industries, representing a wide variety of clients, including recording artists, producers, record labels, music publishing companies, management companies, photographers, songwriters, lifestyle companies and entrepreneurs.

Prior to joining Singh, Singh & Trauben, Devon worked heavily with start-ups and emerging businesses across a wide range of industries, advising in a broad array of matters, including corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, financing, trademark and copyright protection, import regulations, employment and other matters common to emerging businesses. He also previously worked in entertainment management at The Medina Company, where he had the opportunity to learn the inner workings of the industry from Benny Medina.

Devon is originally from Miami, Florida, where he also began his legal career working in-house for MasTec, Inc., an international infrastructure construction and engineering company focusing on high value agreements in the solar, wind, oil and gas industries.

Outside of law, Devon is a published landscape and adventure photographer who also has a love for music and the performing arts, providing him a unique insight that allows him to better cater to the needs of his creative clients.
